Hey friends! Did you know that my company gets Good Friday as a holiday? It is a little surprising, but we do. I had all day yesterday off of work and I had a really fabulous time. Nothing special happened exactly. I just enjoyed the heck out of it. Isn’t it nice when you can do that?
Here’s my Good Friday in pictures! Excuse any blurriness. Life flies by!
First I weighed in and saw a 3.2 lb loss. Woot!
I hit up the local Aveda salon for a haircut. I told her I felt like I don’t know how to style my hair when it is longer and she walked me through 3 or 4 different styles, including how to curl it. She even had me do sections of it so I could practice. I thought that was really cool of her because every girl knows how hard it is to make your hair look like the stylist does!
I was feeling pretty foxy after the cut and style so I took a couple gratuitous selfies.
Then I went to Panera for lunch and some blogging. I almost forgot I wasn’t supposed to eat meat (I’m Catholic and it is Lent) but I remembered at the last minute and had their tortellini alfredo (yum!) and a tomato & mozzarella panini. Then I did some tweeting, some blogging, some recipe typing, and some Facebooking.
After a few hours I packed up, headed home, and spent a couple of hours playing with the dog and watching TV.
My friend/training partner Steve came and picked me up so we could go to packet pick-up for the Easter 5k.
Back home later that evening I FaceTimed with my sister and nephew. He’s such a cute little guy! I can’t believe how big he’ll be when I finally see him in person this summer.
I had some Jimmy John’s for dinner. It was tasty. Very nice not to have to cook on my day off too. Plus I was in a hurry to eat before heading to Good Friday mass.
Back home from church I painted my toes and curled up and watch the Sex and the City movie I found on TV.
All in all, this was a FABULOUS day. Sunny and simple and fun.
What did you do on Good Friday?
