This year I wrote 52 activities on slips of paper and put them in a jar. I am drawing one out every Sunday and trying to complete that activity during the week. Some will have me serving others, some will be something I’ve never done, and some are just for fun. The idea is to add a little variety to each week. Feel free to join in any time!
Alright, time to be catching up more with these. I’ve done a handful of them but just haven’t blogged about them. I’ll catch up though. I’ve got all year
Week 9’s draw (which I don’t have a picture of):
Spend a day electronics free
I actually went just over 3 full days completely free of electronics when I did my Cursillo retreat. It was easy because I didn’t actually have access to any, but I think it still counts!
Week 10’s draw:
I went to the local Aveda salon for the first time and it was a really good experience. I talked about it in this post as well. I got to talk to them about how different cuts would look on me, about experimenting with color, and I got a lesson on how to style my hair. It will take practice for me to get really good at it, but I’m trying. I figure I have a pretty professional job and I could stand to look a little more put together at work sometimes. I’m queen of the bun/ponytail and no makeup!
Have a great weekend!
