Weekly Workout Wrap-Up

I had good intentions to do more than running this week but the running really took a lot out of me!  I’m in Week 3 of the Couch to 5k program and that means longer running intervals.  I’ve been running on the treadmill due to the weather.  Mentally that is tough for me.  I’m not fast and I don’t expect to be able to run at 6 or 7 mph.  (Not now at least.  Someday!)  However, I know how fast I used to run and with the longer running intervals I’m having trouble keeping that pace.  It makes sense.  The hard reality is that I’m about 45 lbs heavier than the last time I was running regularly.  It’s something I’m working on, obviously, but I have to realize it means I probably won’t be performing as well as I’d like to until it comes off.

I know meditation class isn’t exactly a  workout but it is something I’m trying that I wanted to share.  I’ll be doing a whole post on it when the six-week class is over.

Today was finally warm enough to be outside so I took the dog for a walk.  He loved it but came back all muddy.  I can’t be the only dog owner who hates the mess that spring creates!  It is really annoying to have to wipe your dogs feet every time he goes outside.
