Hey everyone! How’s your weekend going?
I’m back to being healthy so that is really nice. I spent the first three days of the week sick and in bed with a bad spring cold, congestion, and a sore throat. I think I slept 18 hours a day. Thursday found me back at work but sickness had turned to some pretty major depression so that was a rough day. Luckily by Friday I was feeling better and could get back to my workouts!
Friday’s run was a little rough. It had been a week since I had last worked out and I still had some leftover congestion. It was really windy too! Then 14 hours later I found myself at the gym for a Saturday morning session with Steve (my training partner). We did some killer strength training and I’m getting stronger on my bench presses. Woot! Not on the overhead press though. Man that is a hard one for me. I also hit the step-mill because I’m doing the Hustle Up the Hancock (a stair climb supporting respiratory health in Chicago) in 3 weeks. HOLY CRAP is that hard. That climb might kill me
I’m sore today but that won’t stop me from getting my run in today. I promise I’ll be blogging more this week too. Lots of things to talk about!
