Hey all! I’m popping back in for a second time to participate in this week’s edition of Friend Makin’ Mondays. If you want to join in, answer the questions below in a blog post and link up in the comments on Sarah’s blog.
Would you rather…
1. Chocolate or vanilla ice cream?
Chocolate. ALWAYS chocolate.
2. Coke or Pepsi?
Coke over Pepsi. Coke Zero over Diet Coke. Mountain Dew over everything else. Also, where I come from we call it pop, not soda, and I feel pretty strongly about that. Though if you want to call it sodapop or sodypop I’m totally okay with that.
3. Cats or dogs?
Dogs all the way. The unconditional love of a dog is one of the true treasures in life. I honestly don’t know how I’d have survived the last two years without Dean (below). That said, we had both cats and dogs (and horses!) growing up and I love them all. I just happen to be deathly allergic to most cats. Though if I could afford one of those $1,000 bengal tiger cats that are totally hypoallergenic, I’d definitely get one. Or a bunny. I’ve always wanted a bunny.

4. Summer or Winter?
You know, I’m kind of in love with winter. I love how pretty it is after a snowfall. I love sweaters and hoodies and wool socks. I love skiing (even though it’s always scary for me). I love how catching snowflakes and making snowmen and snow angels makes me feel like a kid in the best way. Winter gets a bad rap and so many people hate it. Obviously no one loves driving during the winter, but there are so many other good things about it. Give it a chance!
I LOVE that I live in an area that has all four distinct seasons though. I would totally miss that if I moved.
5. Early bird or night owl?
I’ve been a night owl since I was a kid. I would always lay awake after I was put to bed and eventually go downstairs and say I couldn’t sleep and sit on my Dad’s lap and watch TV. Or lay in bed with Mom watching Mr Ed and Dick Van Dyke and The Patty Duke Show. Those are some of the best memories I have.
6. Baseball or football?
It just depends. I follow college football (Iowa & Notre Dame!) and Cubs baseball. I probably enjoy watching football on TV more because it is faster paced. Baseball I enjoy more in person. On TV I lose interest, and there’s nothing like a hot dog and an Old Style at Wrigley Field!
7. Glasses or contact lenses?
8. Coffee or tea?
Tea. I’ve never liked coffee.
9. Mac or PC?
Mac. I made the switch in 2007 and I’ll never go back. I have an iPhone too. I’m pretty fascinated by the history of Apple (computers in general, which makes sense given my profession) and thought the Steve Jobs biography was fantastic. What an influential person to be involved in so much innovation in so many industries! /fangirl rant
10. Roller coasters or not?
Yes please! I can still remember how excited I was the first time I went on an upside-down roller coaster with my Dad. OH the excitement! I will never tire of roller coasters.
