Welcome to the 2nd edition of the Carnival of Healthy Living!  This carnival is a collection of posts from healthy living bloggers on nutrition, food, fitness, and general health.  I’m happy to be hosting this Winter Olympics edition.  I hope you’ll check out the articles linked below.  They are full of great information!


I don’t know about you but I love the Olympics!  It is so fun and inspiring to see athletes competing and representing their countries proudly.

Fun Fact:  18 nations have only one athlete representing them in Sochi this year.  Five of those nations (Zimbabwe, Tonga, Malta, Paraguay, and Timor-Leste) are making their Winter Olympic Games debut.

Fun Fact:  The last time an Olympic gold medal was made of solid gold was at the 1912 summer games in Stockholm.  The 2014 medal contains 516 grams of silver and only 6 grams of gold!

Fun Fact: A whopping twelve events are making their debut at the Sochi Olympic Games.  They are men’s and women’s Snowboard Slopestyle (where Team USA won their first gold at Sochi!), men’s and women’s Ski Slopestyle, men’s and women’s Ski Halfpipe, Mixed Biathlon Relay, women’s Ski Jumping (you go girls!), Snowboard Parallel Slalom, Figure Skating Team Event (USA is holding steady at 3rd in this event so far!), and Luge Team Relay.
