52 Activities in a Jar: Weeks 2 & 3

This year I wrote 52 activities on slips of paper and put them in a jar.  I am drawing one out every Sunday and trying to complete that activity during the week.  Some will have me serving others, some will be something I’ve never done, and some are just for fun.  The idea is to add a little variety to each week.  Feel free to join in any time!

The last two weeks have been super busy.  I’ve been drawing an activity out of the jar every Sunday though so it’s time to update you.

Week 2’s draw:

This one is silly, but fun.  Sometimes I’m all about cranking up the tunes but sometimes I’m really not.  Lately, not so much.  I’ve basically been driving to work in total silence.  So last Thursday I made a point to crank up happy music everywhere I was: in the car, at work (headphones), at home.  I made a point to sing and dance and be happy.  And it worked!  Clearly I need to do this more often.

Week 3’s draw:

Michael’s Fun World is a place in town that has batting cages, arcade games, 5 pin bowling, laser tag, and all kinds of other fun things.  I didn’t quite spend a day there but I did spend an afternoon at the batting cages.  It is a pretty great way to work out some frustration and the day that I went, I had plenty of that.  Plus I got to hang out with a friend I don’t see very often.  Win win. :)

What random things have you been doing to add some extra happy to your weeks?
