The Summer of Travel

Hello!

Anybody still out there?

Have you forgotten me?

I can’t believe its been two weeks since I’ve posted.  I guess life just got in the way.  Honestly, the first week I didn’t post because I was pretty down in the dumps for quite a while.  This week I’ve bounced back but work has been kicking my butt lately!

It looks like I will be traveling a LOT this summer.  Where you might ask?  All these places!

First up is Georgia which is actually this weekend.  I’ve been feeling the need to go see my Dad and the rest of my family lately.  I miss them so much!  I’ll probably go down later in the summer as well.

Germany, China, and Brazil are all for work.  Of course I’ve been to Brazil (post 1, post 2, post 3) and China (post 1 and post 2) for work before.  Germany will be brand new though!  I won’t have a lot of time to sightsee but I’ll make the most of it and hopefully have more time during another trip in the future.

My first trip to Oregon (check another state off the list!) is for the Fitbloggin’ conference.  I’m rooming with the awesome Erica D. House and we’ll both be navigating our first blogging conference.  I think we’ll do just fine :)

Finally, I’ll hopefully be doing RAGBRAI this year and crossing the state of Iowa on my bike: 407 miles in 7 days!  I don’t feel like I’m quite in shape for this but I’ve done it twice before and I still have 58 days to train.  Plenty of time, right?

I think I figured out that right now I have 5 or 6 weekends between now and Labor Day where I’m not traveling for at least part of it.  Two of those weekends I already have people visiting me as well!  I’m going to try my best to keep up on blogging and share all the fun travels with you all.  I’m also going to share my triumphs and struggles in eating right, exercising, and losing weight while on the road so much.

Where are you traveling this summer?

I am SO excited for Fitbloggin! I’m not sure if I’ve asked this before but I’m interested in hearing more about what you do that gets you traveling to such incredible places!

I don’t talk about specifics of my company/job on my blog much but we’ll definitely have to talk about it in Portland in a few weeks!
