I RUN… because it’s National Running Day!

I RUN… because I end in a better mood than I start.

I RUN… because I want to be better than I was yesterday.

I RUN… because I love ice cream.

I RUN… because I am capable.

Today, June 1st, is the 3rd annual National Running Day!

Thanks to Running USA and other big U.S. running organizations for giving us all a reason to celebrate running (as if we needed an excuse!).

There are three important ways to celebrate this day.

1)       GO FOR A RUN!  Seriously, what better way to celebrate running than by actually doing it.  Doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned pro, an amateur, or a first timer.  Get out and do a half mile, 3 miles, 10 miles, anything!

2)     Make a bold I RUN… statement and post it on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, or wherever else you post things.  Just let people know why you’re a runner and why you’re proud.

3)     Go to the official website and get your National Running Day badge to post (like the pic above).  I got mine!

Do these three things then pop a top with your runner friends and toast a great sport, but not before you tell me here:

Why do YOU run?
