This weekend has been a trying one, both personally and athletically. I’ve had my feelings hurt and my self esteem trampled. The worst part is how I reacted to it all though. I let it sneak into my brain and plant nasty thoughts about how I’m not good enough, not important enough. For a while I let it convince me that I never would be good enough.
I know that’s not true. I know nothing that happened this weekend, the friend stuff or the race, is the end of the world or even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. At the time it just was more than I could bear and my positive outlook failed me.
So, in keeping with snapping out of my own little pity party I give you some quotes about attitude and positive thinking. It’s important in everyday life and maybe even more important if you’re on the long journey like training or weight loss. Stay positive this week!
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.
See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.
Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
